Several FFA students competed in the Area Fall Speaking event and represented Stockton well. Here is the list of the winners and participants.

The FFA Grasslands team took home 2nd place in the state competition in Columbia today! They were only 7 points behind first place Ava. The team was lead by Brigham Lee who was the high scoring individual in the competition. James Flora finished 7th, Bowen Bird finished 8th, and Cassie Haden finished 9th. The team qualified for Nationals and will be recognized at the state convention. Great job team and their advisor Mr. Phillips.


State Golf Results!
Vanessa Nail finished with a two day total of 191 to earn All-State honors finishing 11th in the Class 1 State Tournament held at the Sedalia Country Club.
Kendra Bishop finished with a 237 and finished tied for 72nd.
Congratulations to both girls!



Our FFA Grasslands teams had great showings at the district competition yesterday. The team consisting of Vanessa Nail, Kash Horning, Cat Branson, and Joleen Jackson finished 7th. The team consisting of Cassie Haden, Brigham Lee, Bowen Bird, and James Flora won the event. The first place team will be competing in the state contest next month.


Our faculty Fusion Team lead field trips for all the freshman yesterday. The trips focused on team building, overcoming obstacles, goal setting, and self worth. Thanks to our faculty/staff, Kalena Bruce, Chelsea Abercrombie, and the Missouri National Guard for investing in our students.





Our AG Construction class received new welding helmets, gloves, and saftey shirts through the Missouri Geer II Grant. Looking good!


Vanessa Nail and Kendra Bishop played in the Class 1 District 1 Girls Golf Tournament on October 5 at Horton Smith Golf Course in Springfield. Vanessa earned all-district honors by finishing with a 92 and placing 5th. Kendra shot a 110 to finish 14th and qualified to play at the State Tournament. Congratulations to both of our state qualifiers. The Girls State Tournament will be held at the Sedalia Country Club on October 16 and 17. Good luck girls!


Our FFA freshman are sporting their new FFA jackets. The jackets were paid for by a vocational education grant from the State of Missouri. Looking good freshman!


Rummage Sale Saturday, October 7th


Congrats to the girl's golf team for their first-place finish at the Nevada tournament last week. Way to go girls!


School will be in session Monday September 25th. We will not have school this Friday September 29th. #ProudtobeaTiger!

Congratulations to Megan Lee and Evangeline O'Brien who were selected for district honors choir. They will perform with students from all across Southwest Missouri at Joplin HS on October 28th, at 4:30 p.m.

Season passes can be picked up at the home football game tonight - main gate or at the Superintendent's Office.

Stockton RI School District is looking for a Head JH Boys Basketball coach and an Assistant JH Girls Basketball coach. Applicants should send a resume and cover letter to Jim Flora, High School Principal. (jflora@stockton.k12.mo.us) Preference will be given to applicants who can obtain a sub-certificate with 36 hours of post-secondary credits.
