This year our local SAMA is helping local families this Christmas. In order to support SAMA and these families, we will be doing a hat and jeans day this Thursday (December 12th).

Janet Fox Nutrition Program Associate Family Nutrition Education Program University of Missouri Extension Cedar County visited Mrs. Laurie Primm’s and Mrs. Christy Fields' classroom to talk about nutrition and healthy eating. The students were able to make nutritious snacks and get recipe to take home. Best part was eating what they made!

This is a reminder that the elementary Christmas Concert is this Thursday (December 12th) at 6:00 pm in the Middle School gym. This is for 3rd and 4th grade students only. The preschool students will also be performing.

Don’t forget that Tuesday, December 10th is the High School Student Council’s food drive. Students and the community can drop off non-perishable food items all day tomorrow. All collected food will be donated to the SAMA food pantry to help local families in need.

Middle School concert is Tuesday, December 10th and Elementary concert is Thursday, December 12th. Both concerts are a 6:00 p.m. start time. The newspaper has a 6:30 start time which is incorrect. Congratulations to the varsity boys basketball team for their 52-42 victory over Pleasant Hope in the Dennis Cornish Classic at Lockwood. The boys play again at 7pm on Friday night vs Lamar. The varsity girls will be at the Ash Grove Tournament and play Crane at 7:30.
