The Stockton Tigers Basketball Camp for grades 1-6 has been postponed due to a winter storm warning. It will be held February 15th.

We have collected several jackets this year that have been left behind. They will be laid out in the elementary and middle school cafeteria until the end of the day Tuesday. After this, they will be donated. Feel free to come look or have your child ask to look for their jacket.

Don’t forget....

Stockton High School held its annual Poetry Out Loud Recitation Contest on Wednesday, January 8th.
Poetry Out Loud is a national arts education program that encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization, performance, and competition. Beginning at the classroom level, winners advance to a school-wide competition, then to regional and state competition, and ultimately to the National Finals in Washington DC where they compete for $100,000 in prize money. Approximately 375,000 students from more than 2,000 high schools nationwide took part in the Poetry Out Loud competition last year.
This year, 11 SHS students competed in our school-wide contest. Winners were as follows: 1st place - Tyler Johnson, 2nd place - Aaron Bradshaw, 3rd place - Katelyn Thornton.
Tyler Johnson will represent SHS at the regional competition at the Creamery Arts Center in Springfield next month. Attached is a photo our 3 winners.
